Overmono, the Welsh duo formed by brothers Tom and Ed Russell (Truss and Tessela), return behind the decks for a DJ set at Rough Trade Bristol on August 9, 2026, to accompany the release of their new album Pure Devotion on XL. Used to making techno, breakbeat, UK garage, and bass music converse with one another, they ride the energy of broken rhythms, basslines that hit hard, and those sampled vocal hooks that grab the ear right away.
Between rave tension and a keen eye for detail, Overmono have built a sound that is at once club-ready and precise enough to listen to on headphones. After their early EPs on XL and a solid run between maxis and broader formats, this set promises a plunge into their universe: nerve-wracking transitions, melodic textures that surface, and a dancefloor-focused narrative, no fuss.
