Some groups traverse a scene, others mark it. Clan of Xymox is decidedly in the latter camp: from the first darkwave born in Nijmegen in the early 1980s around Ronny Moorings, the band has built a recognizable sound composed of cold guitars, melodic synths, and electronic rhythms designed also for the dancefloor. From the cult of their early records to the more club-oriented phase of the late 1980s and to the return to a darker, more introspective writing from the 1990s onward, their trajectory remains coherent: melancholy, pop tension and shadows to be sung in a low voice. On October 3, 2026 they will bring all of this to life at the Lizard Club, with a setlist that combines classics and more recent material without losing that nocturnal lucidity that has made them a reference.
To open the concert, the Psycholies will deliver a tense and pulsating live set, between dark atmospheres and electronic beats that lay the groundwork before the entrance of Clan of Xymox.
