Timbre Concerts brings City of the Sun to Fox Cabaret in Vancouver on October 14, 2026. Born on the streets of New York, the trio John Pita, Avi Snow and Zach Para built their sound in parks and subway corridors before taking it to clubs and wider tours across the US and Europe.
City of the Sun plays fully instrumental music led by two acoustic guitars and percussion, with plenty of space for live interaction. Their writing leans into flamenco-tinged guitar lines, indie-rock drive, folk warmth and hints of Latin American rhythms, shifting between hypnotic motifs, slow-burning builds and quieter, more reflective passages. Think of it less as “songs” and more as moving soundscapes shaped in real time, where improvisation and dynamics do most of the talking. Guests will be announced.
