Michel Jonasz returns to the stage for “Season 5 – Tour”, on May 21, 2027, at the Salle Gérard Philipe in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, with his own distinctive way of marrying song and groove. Since the 1970s, he has traversed a simple and imagery-rich writing, where childhood, memory and everyday stories intersect without pressing them. Jazz, soul, blues: with him, it swings as much as it tells, carried by a warm voice and a sense of rhythm that has left its mark on French chanson. We rediscover the spirit of his major works, between tenderness, humor and melancholy, in a tightened format that lets the music breathe.
Alongside him, Jean-Yves D’Angelo, pianist and arranger born in Algiers, longtime collaborator. His playing, supple and deeply rooted in the blues, brings discreet elegance and constant listening, inherited as much from jazz as from chanson. Together, they establish a precise piano-voice dialogue, without artifice, where every nuance counts and where the songs are redrawn as the concert goes on.
