Jon and Roy bring their groove-driven folk-rock to the Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver on October 25, 2026. Born in Victoria, BC, the project originally formed around singer-guitarist Jon Middleton and percussionist Roy Vizer, now rounded out by multi-instrumentalist Louis Sadava. Since coming together in 2003, they’ve built a sound that sits at the crossroads of folk rock, reggae touches, and acoustic pop, carried by supple rhythms, tight harmonies, and straightforward songwriting.
From the early days of Sittin’ Back (2005) through Another Noon, Homes, Let It Go and By My Side, the band has kept refining a warm, organic approach where groove does a lot of the talking. More recent records like Riverside, The Road Ahead is Golden, Here, Know Your Mind and Restore (2024) continue that same line: bright arrangements, easy momentum, and songs that land without overdoing it. Expect a set that moves between intimate melodies and infectious, rhythm-first lifts, with the kind of chemistry that comes from years on the Canadian indie circuit.
