We Are Scientists return to Toronto on December 6, 2026, at Lee’s Palace, with that clipped, nervous indie rock they’ve been shaping since the early 2000s. Built around Keith Murray and Chris Cain, the band sits right where alternative rock meets post‑punk revival: dry, tight guitars, a bass that drives the songs forward, and compact tracks that go straight to the hook without hanging around.
Since breaking through with With Love and Squalor (2005), they’ve kept moving without losing their core snap, from Brain Thrust Mastery and Barbara to a run of sharper, more pop-leaning records like TV en Français, Helter Seltzer and Megaplex. Recent albums Huffy, Lobes and Qualifying Miles keep that same balance: tense riffs, clean melodies, and choruses that land fast. Expect a set that jumps across eras while staying focused on punchy rhythms and direct songwriting.
