Guus Meeuwis

Guus Meeuwis will bring his Dutch-language pop to Rotterdam Ahoy on 4 April 2027. Since the 1990s he has been building a repertoire of accessible melodies, acoustic ballads and choruses that invite to be sung along. What began with Vagant and Het is een nacht has grown into songs that are close to everyday life, with themes such as love, friendship and small observations, always without embellishment.

At Ahoy, Guus will draw from his entire catalogue: from Hemel nr. 7 and Armen open to more recent work from albums like Geluk, Deel Zoveel and Uit het hoofd. With his regular band he effortlessly alternates rousing pop numbers with moments that remain small and personal. The recognisable Brabant character and the communal atmosphere of his large concert runs come through, while the performance stays tight and focused on the songs.

This will be a show where classics stand next to new tracks, with room for sing-alongs and quiet passages. Not a hunt for effects, but songs that linger— a set that moves between tempo and intimacy, exactly as Guus Meeuwis writes and performs them, on 4 April 2027 at Rotterdam Ahoy.
