Ibeyi « Tournée »

Ibeyi return to the stage at Le Transbordeur in Villeurbanne on 20 November 2026. Twins Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Díaz, born in Paris and shaped by a childhood between Havana and France, weave a music that brings together soul, contemporary R&B, downtempo, trip‑hop and electronic pop. In Ibeyi, Lisa‑Kaindé’s voice and piano answer Naomi’s percussion — cajón, batá drums — creating a pulse nourished by Yoruba and Afro‑Cuban rhythms. The duo alternates between English, French, Spanish and Yoruba, a way of embracing their heritage while keeping a contemporary sound.

Signed to XL Recordings, they laid the groundwork with the Oya EP and a self‑titled debut album, before expanding their palette on Ash and asserting a more direct songwriting approach with Spell 31. Their path has crossed with artists such as Kamasi Washington, Mala Rodríguez, Pa Salieu and Jorja Smith, and they made an appearance in the film accompanying Lemonade. On stage, Ibeyi rely on stripped‑down arrangements, subtle electronic textures and a percussive energy that lets each piece breathe, balancing vocal intimacy with rhythmic tension.
