Summer Season Opening: Dj Boring

Hangaren opens its summer season on July 10, 2026 with DJ BORING at Hangaren (Refshalevej 185, 1432 Copenhagen). Behind the alias is Tristan Hallis, a London-based Australian who has built a distinct space between house, breakbeat and techno since his breakout “Winona” in 2016. His sets move easily from steady 4/4 to broken rhythms, weaving warm textures and airy pads with a clear nod to the 90s/00s club sound. In the booth he digs deep, pairing overlooked older cuts with fresh productions to keep the flow sharp and the energy steady.

In the studio, Hallis shapes a contemporary palette that still traces back to the roots of dance music. Much of it is built on hardware, which gives his tracks a tactile feel that carries into his live work. On stage, machines and controllers become an extension of his approach, letting him rework material on the fly and shift gears without losing momentum. Expect a focused journey that plays with tempo and mood while keeping the dancefloor at the center. Guests will be announced, but the night revolves around Hallis and his finely tuned sense of groove.
