Under this alias, Lucas Chantre explores expansive, emotional pop where carefully crafted arrangements, digital nostalgia and organic instrumentation coexist. His songs, precise melodically, take on a more physical and unrestrained form live: engaging grooves, pop sensitivity and a playful attitude that push the set toward the friction between the intimate and the performative. World Brain moves between experimental pop, jazz and electronic music, with a cinematic writing style. He is interested in the tensions between connectivity, technology and human experience, translating them into a sound that blends digital textures with hand-played instruments without confining itself to a single genre. That approach was clear on Open Source (2024), where his sister Noémie’s French-language voice weaves through several tracks as an intimate counterpoint.
