Info

Mae Stephens plays The Cluny in Newcastle upon Tyne on 3 November 2026. Born Anna Mae Kelly in Kettering, she cut her teeth self-releasing in 2020, first under her own name with I Want You to Be Here and Devil Eyes, then as Mae Stephens with Infamous Kiss and White Lies. Her writing leans into tight hooks, crisp melodies and a light funk undertone, sitting somewhere between contemporary pop and club-leaning production. Late 2022 put her on a wider radar when snippets of If We Ever Broke Up spread online, paving the way for the 2023 single and a deal with EMI.

On stage, Mae Stephens resists the filler: short, direct songs and choruses that land fast, from Small Town Syndrome to the punchy pop she’s honed since her first uploads. She’s also widened her palette with electronic detours like Jungle alongside Alok and The Chainsmokers, and a playful duet with Meghan Trainor on Mr Right. Expect a set shaped by her EP Securely Insecure, mixing personal snapshots with grooves built to move, and that knack for melodies that stick without overstatement.
