Info
On 8 May 2026 at Rock City in Nottingham, Stephen Sanchez brings his retro-pop universe to the stage. The Nashville-based singer-songwriter crafts romantic ballads steeped in 50s rock’n’roll and 60s orchestral pop, built around a front-and-center voice and vintage-leaning arrangements. First noticed online with early covers and originals, he broke through with Lady by the Sea in 2020, then signed with Republic Records and followed with the EPs What Was, Not Now (2021) and Easy on My Eyes (2022). His debut album Angel Face (2023) sketches the tale of a fictional crooner and feeds a live set tinted with doo-wop echoes, silky melodies and a pop-soul palette, sometimes shared in duo and sometimes with a full band.
Also on the bill, Devon trio Tors — brothers Matt and Theo Weedon with Jack Bowden — shape an indie folk-pop that banks on tight harmonies, clean guitars and lyrics drawn from relationships, family and everyday moments. Since the mid-2010s they’ve rolled out singles and EPs alongside one-take live videos that spotlight their collective vocal work, at times close to a cappella. Their songs sit where folk songwriting meets current pop production, carried by choral hooks designed to resonate in a room like Rock City.
