Info
Au/Ra brings her shadowy electronic pop to Manchester Academy, Manchester, on 9 May 2026. Born in Ibiza to a German family and raised in Antigua, the singer-songwriter has shaped a sound where sleek synths and dark textures leave space for clear, memorable melodies. Her lyrics lean into mental health, social media anxiety and the awkward edges of growing up, carried by songs that tell intimate stories without losing a pulse for the dancefloor. Early cuts like Concrete Jungle and the breakout Panic Room set the tone, then came links with the electronic world: the spectral lift of Alan Walker’s Darkside and the clean pop of Jax Jones’ i miss u. On stage, she threads narrative pop with atmospheric electronics, hooks that stay in mind and a low-light mood you can move to, drawing on the universe sketched since the Outsiders EP. Support: Brooke Ellen.
