Au/Ra

Born in 2002 on Ibiza to a German family and raised in Antigua, Au/Ra crafts an electronic pop universe where dark atmospheres meet accessible melodies and deeply personal writing. A songwriter and performer, she addresses mental health, social media–related anxiety, feelings of alienation, and the formation of identity in adolescence, over productions that blend dark pop, atmospheric synths, and catchy hooks. She came to prominence in the late 2010s with tracks like “Concrete Jungle” (2016) and “Panic Room” (2018), and quickly became part of a network of collaborations spanning the electronic scene and mainstream pop. Notably, she appears alongside Alan Walker on “Darkside” (2018) and Jax Jones on “i miss u” (2020), extending the tension between introspective imagery and club-ready formats. Her EP “Outsiders” (2018) laid the foundations for a storytelling-driven aesthetic, with each track inhabiting a coherent visual world conceived as an extension of her songs.
