Alkaline Trio

Alkaline Trio bring their Chicago-bred punk to O2 City Hall Newcastle in Newcastle upon Tyne on 5 July 2026. Built around Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano’s alternating voices, the trio blends pop-punk bite, melodic punk rock and a darker, emo-leaning edge. Wiry guitars, tight rhythms and choruses shaded with black humor and heartbreak fuel a set that pulls across their catalog, from Goddamnit and From Here to Infirmary to Good Mourning, Crimson, Is This Thing Cursed? and the 2024 release Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs. Their call-and-response vocals and lean arrangements keep the songs direct and immediate, shifting from brisk hooks to moodier detours with intent.

Anthony Green & The Boom Done Band open the show. Green, known for Circa Survive and his solo catalog, brings elastic melodies and a high, expressive register, threading post-hardcore roots with intimate songwriting. The Boom Done Band gives the songs a tight, full-band swing, setting the tone before Alkaline Trio take over.
