Info

Liam Bailey brings his unvarnished soul blend to Bush Hall, London, on 23 September 2026. Raised in Nottingham on soul, reggae, blues and lean rock, he writes in a direct register and sings with a husky grain that sits just as well over stripped arrangements as over heavier riddims. He first surfaced in the early 2010s on Amy Winehouse’s Lioness Records, then moved between acoustic sketches, contemporary soul production and the UK’s bass scenes. Along the way he linked with Chase & Status on Blind Faith and Big Man, Shy FX on Soon Come, plus Delilah, DJ Fresh and later Joe Armon-Jones, always keeping the song at the centre.

After his debut album Definitely Now (2014), Bailey shaped a palette where lo-fi soul, Jamaican inflections, folk-rock and melancholic hooks overlap. Ekundayo (2020) with Leon Michels pushed that direction further, followed by Enfant Terrible (2023) with St Francis Hotel, then Zero Grace (2024) alongside Michels and the El Michels Affair collective. On stage he threads these chapters into an organic, introspective set grounded in British soul and reggae traditions, carried by a voice that tells stories without decoration.
