T!LT: My New Band Believe

My New Band Believe lands at sPAZIO211 in Torino on 5 November 2026. Led by Cameron Picton, former Black Midi bassist and singer, the project works as an open, shifting ensemble rather than a fixed lineup. Built piece by piece around the songs, the band brings in collaborators from the UK experimental scene, adapting the instrumentation to the mood of each track and each set.

On stage, My New Band Believe moves away from Black Midi’s taut rock toward a more acoustic, organic language. English folk threads through baroque pop and chamber rock, with arrangements that gather, fracture and re-form. The writing leans on contrasts and oblique storytelling, letting dynamics breathe: quiet fingerpicking gives way to sudden surges, voices and strings trade lines, percussion nudges the melodies off-center. Picton keeps the structures agile and slightly unstable, using space and texture as much as hooks.

The new track Love Story sets the tone for the night, sketching an intimate, contemporary folk palette without losing the curiosity that defined his earlier work.
