Sven-Ingvars brings the show Igår. Idag. Imorgon. 70 år. to Scalateatern in Karlstad on 27 November 2026. Formed in 1956 in Slottsbron, the band started with rock’n’roll and Swedish pop before moving into the dansband circuit in the 1970s, mixing ballroom rhythms, Swedish refrains and a rock backbone. Over time the catalogue has grown with songs like Te’ dans me’ Karlstatösera, Fröken Fräken, Börja om från början and Vid din sida. In 1963, during a concert in Karlstad, the Beatles appeared as their opening act.
Today the group continues with Oscar Magnusson on lead vocals, following the passing of Sven‑Erik Magnusson in 2017. The current lineup keeps the blend of pop, rock and Swedish dance tradition while updating the arrangements. Marking seventy years, this set spans early hits and later material, tying together dance‑hall staples and pop‑rock cuts into a thread of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
