Info
Keziah Jones will take the Stereolux stage in Nantes on October 9, 2026. Born in Nigeria and forged in the streets and clubs of London, he defined blufunk, a blend of lean funk, blues and Yoruba influences. His guitar snaps with a percussive, nervous slap; his grooves move in syncopation; his voice sits close to the wood. On stage he alternates tension and release, bare arpeggios and hammered patterns, in a formula that privileges rhythmic impact and intimacy.
The set draws from a repertoire built around several milestones: from Blufunk Is a Fact to African Space Craft, from Liquid Sunshine to Black Orpheus and Nigerian Wood. Few effects, plenty of attack: the right hand shapes the pulse, the left lets the harmony breathe, producing an acoustic sound that speaks like a rhythm section. Behind the tilted hat stands a songwriter who returns to the essentials — the string, the voice, the pulse. In Nantes, Stereolux becomes the sounding board for this pared-down, razor-sharp blufunk.
