Info
Vancouver outfit Meltt brings its psych-tinged indie rock to The Starlite Room in Edmonton on August 16, 2026. Formed by Chris Smith, Jamie Turner, James Porter and Ian Winkler, the band shapes a sound where saturated yet melodic guitars meet bright keyboard layers and light, floating vocals, moving between alternative rock, dream pop and shoegaze influences. Noticed with the EP Visions (2017), Meltt refined its writing on the first album Swim Slowly (2019), with tracks like Love Again, On Your Own and Fool Of You.
During the pandemic, the quartet wrote at a distance, then regrouped in a secluded cabin to build Eternal Embers, released in 2023 on Nettwerk and preceded by the EP Another Quiet Sunday. Their songs revisit themes of nature’s cycles, transformation and introspection, with a strong focus on textures and atmosphere. Live, the material grows and breathes, balancing rhythmic drive and haze while keeping the melody upfront.
