Magic System

Magic System celebrates its 30th anniversary on March 5, 2027, at the Zénith de Saint-Étienne. Born in Anoumabo, the quartet A'Salfo, Manadja, Goudé and Tino carried zouglou beyond Abidjan with collective singing, everyday stories and a dance-ready pulse. From their early days with 'Papitou' and the breakout hit 'Premier Gaou' to albums such as Un Gaou à Paris, Touté Kalé and Africainement vôtre, the group expanded its sound toward an African pop nourished by afro-dance, urban music and coupé-décalé touches, without severing its original roots. Collaborations with Khaled and Chawki have also broadened their range.

On stage, Magic System lines up choral refrains, bright guitars and lively percussion for a set that blends classics with more recent tracks. 'Premier Gaou', 'Bouger Bouger' and 'Magic in the Air' belong to a repertoire designed to unite performers and audience, alternating call-and-response and crowd-rousing dance moves. This anniversary concert retraces the group's trajectory live, from zouglou roots to an immediate, direct African pop, between Abidjan, Paris and the major Francophone stages.
