The Inspector Cluzo

The two Gascon farmer-musicians of The Inspector Cluzo released their 10th LP, Less Is More, in June 2025 on their own label, as they have done since the start of their 20-year career. The album, produced by their mentor Vance Powell (Jack White, The Raconteurs, Chris Stapleton) in Nashville and recorded live in four days and mixed in three, was named by Rolling Stone among the albums of the year 2025. The British magazine Classic Rock also ranked it among the rock albums of 2025. On it they explore themes dear to the naturalist and environmentalist Henry David Thoreau and to post-growth thinking.

In summer 2025 they opened for Neil Young in Europe and for their friends Clutch in the United States, in the Midwest. They will return in September–October 2026 for a 40-date tour through the far-flung corners of the United States and Canada. Still self-produced by choice and refusing to sign with any label or promoter, the band applies a post-growth economic model—both locally and globally—on the farm as well as in their music, which they consider better adapted to climate change.

On stage, with more than 1,300 shows in 67 countries over 20 years, they perform as a two-piece, playing together live without backing tracks. The Inspector Cluzo will be in concert at La Belle Électrique on Wednesday, 18 November 2026. Doors open at 19:00, concert begins at 20:00.
