Eiffel

On 20 November 2026, Le 9-9bis in Oignies welcomes Eiffel, the rock project of Romain Humeau. A singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, he has twelve albums to his name. Outside conventional boundaries, his songs reinvent themselves from record to record without losing their melodic thread, with a sound that sheds its skin and opens up to several registers.

The reference points are numerous and acknowledged: Bowie, Pixies, Lennon–McCartney, XTC, Talking Heads, but also Bach, Brel, Beck, Vian, Coltrane, Depeche Mode, with touches of rap and electronic music, and Latin, baroque or romantic colors. This map informs a rock that is at once precise and fluid, with songwriting remaining at the center.

On stage, Eiffel plays without artifice, as a band of flesh and bone. Nearly a thousand concerts in France, Belgium, Quebec and Switzerland have forged a direct relationship with the “Ahuris,” their core of loyal fans. In Oignies you will find that same candid energy and attention to words, with songs that move between rock tension, pop bursts and more orchestral flights, in keeping with an approach that favors exploration over posturing.
