Oldelaf will appear on May 21, 2027 at the Les Arts d'Azur performance hall in Le Broc as part of a solo tour. The former partner of Monsieur D abandons the band format and returns to his first loves: a grand piano, a voice, and lyrics that observe everyday life with playful mischief. Behind the author of "Le café" is the musician who began at the keyboard; he draws on that background to shape a more intimate concert, punctuated by stories, asides and songs where humour flirts with gentle melancholy. The piano-and-voice setup allows for nuance, breathing room and the off-kilter touch that is his trademark. Between familiar refrains and surprises, Oldelaf delivers a warm, direct, intimate encounter that puts the words front and center and brings the melody into focus. A pared-down moment, crafted to be listened to up close, to smile along with, and to be carried by a repertoire that speaks to everyday life.
