Info
Greensky Bluegrass brings their progressive take on acoustic music, blending mandolin, banjo, dobro, guitar and bass into songs that open wide on stage. Formed in Kalamazoo in the early 2000s, the quintet has shaped a sound where tight songwriting meets long-form improvisation, drawing as much from bluegrass tradition as from jam and psych rock. On June 3, 2026 at The Opera House in Toronto, they roll out a set built for live conversation: harmonies that breathe, grooves that build slowly, and instrumentals that shift shape as the night unfolds. Pieces move from reflective folk moods to driving, percussive picking, with room for textures and dynamics to evolve. The band revisits material across their catalog — from If Sorrows Swim and Shouted, Written Down & Quoted to All for Money and Stress Dreams — reshaping themes and riffs on the fly. Built on tone, interplay and a collective pulse, the set lets each song travel beyond its studio form.
