Info
Pink Martini arrives at LAPS in Nantes on October 22, 2026. For more than three decades, the group founded by pianist Thomas Lauderdale in Portland has blended old‑school pop, global influences and big‑band swing, combining the lightness and elegance that define its identity. Their driving force remains the same: building bridges between cultures and transporting audiences, from reworked standards to original compositions, in several languages and with a keen collective spirit.
On stage, Pink Martini relies on a core of musicians seasoned in large halls across six continents and features a rotating cast of iconic vocalists depending on the tour: long‑time singer China Forbes, the energy of Storm Large, Ari Shapiro, Edna Vazquez, Jimmie Herrod or Meow Meow. The repertoire shifts from cinematic swing to pop ditties and Latin rhythms, with arrangements crafted for live performance. On the release front, the band has issued more than a dozen albums on Heinz Records, including the EP Bella ciao, which features the title track sung by Storm Large. A concert designed to bring people together, striking a balance between relaxed sophistication and immediate pleasure.
