Since the early 90s, Chris Murphy, Jay Ferguson, Patrick Pentland and Andrew Scott have shaped a Canadian power‑pop identity rooted in melodic guitars, direct choruses and a shared front line: each member writes and sings. From the fuzzed edges of Smeared (1992) to the focused punch of Twice Removed (1994), One Chord to Another (1996) and Navy Blues (1998), the band moves naturally between bright pop, tougher rock and mid‑tempo detours without breaking the thread.
