Info

On March 2, 2026 at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Megadeth joins forces with Anthrax and Exodus for a thrash metal lineup rooted in the genre’s first wave.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson, Megadeth blends thrash, speed and heavy metal with fast, precise riffing and complex song structures. Lyrics often dig into politics, war, religion and social alienation. From Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good! and Peace Sells... but Who’s Buying? to Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction and Youthanasia, the band set a blueprint it keeps refining on later releases like Dystopia and The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead!

Anthrax, born in New York in 1981 around Scott Ian and part of thrash’s Big Four, fuses sharp riffs, chant-ready hooks and a crossover edge pulled from hardcore and classic metal. Key milestones range from Spreading the Disease and Among the Living to the Public Enemy collaboration on Bring the Noise, with a return to full-throttle thrash on Worship Music and For All Kings.

Exodus, founded in the Bay Area in 1979 by Gary Holt and Tom Hunting, helped shape the region’s sound with Bonded by Blood. With vocals carried over time by Paul Baloff then Steve “Zetro” Souza, the band pushes tight, rapid-fire riffs, abrasive vocals and a no-frills approach across albums like Fabulous Disaster, Tempo of the Damned and Persona Non Grata.
