Le Youth - Who Are You Really?

Le Youth brings his "who are you really?" tour to Montréal on June 6, 2026, taking over Théâtre Fairmount. Under this alias, Los Angeles–based producer and DJ Wes James has been cultivating a distinct strand of house since the early 2010s. He first broke through with “C O O L” in 2013, built around a sample of Cassie’s “Me & U,” and followed with “Dance with Me” in 2014, which forged a link between club rhythms, ’90s R&B vocal sensibilities and straightforward pop structures. Over the years his writing has moved toward a more melodic, progressive palette—airy pads, extended builds, and an emphasis on texture and release—while still leaving space for vocal elements. That progression came into focus on the 2022 album Reminders and through a steady succession of singles and remixes spanning the electronic spectrum. On stage, Le Youth alternates between originals and reworks, weaving vocal hooks into widescreen melodies supported by a consistent low‑end pulse. This Montréal date emphasizes his current melodic direction and will feature guest performers joining him for the ride.
