Meltt

On 21 May 2026 Meltt bring their multifaceted indie universe to Yuca in Cologne. The quartet from Vancouver – Chris Smith, Jamie Turner, James Porter and Ian Winkler – blends distorted yet melodic guitars, bright keyboard layers and floating vocals into a sound that sits between alternative rock, dream pop and shoegaze. Since their EP debut Visions (2017) and the album Swim Slowly (2019) with tracks like "Love Again," "On Your Own" and "Fool Of You," Meltt have been steadily refining their songwriting. During the pandemic, new ideas first developed at a distance and later in an isolated cabin — the foundation for their second album Eternal Embers (2023, Nettwerk), which was preceded that same year by the EP Another Quiet Sunday. Live, the band relies on dense textures, organic dynamics and seamless transitions; recurring motifs of natural cycles, transformation and self-observation emerge particularly clearly and shape an immersive atmosphere that reaches its full effect in a concert setting.
