Info

Formed in Toronto, July Talk has from the start walked a tightrope between precision and chaos. At the core is the vocal duo Leah Fay Goldstein and Peter Dreimanis: a clear timbre for the former, a deep, raspy voice for the latter. That contrast drives an alternative rock that blends raw blues, abrasive pop and post‑punk echoes, supported by taut guitars and a driving rhythm section. A three‑time JUNO Award winner, the band has refined its signature across its records: from the self‑titled debut to Touch, then Pray for It, up to Remember Never Before in 2023, which tightens the songwriting around vocal dialogue and a more direct dynamic.

On stage, July Talk cultivates the back‑and‑forth between tension and release—suspended passages and percussive surges—seeking a form of communion with the audience. July Talk will be at Théâtre Capitole in Quebec City on 30 March 2026 for a set that will highlight this sonic dramaturgy and the group’s collective momentum.
