Info
Ezhel, born Sercan İpekçioğlu in Ankara and now based in Berlin, will perform at La Maison Bleue in Strasbourg on October 14, 2026. A prominent figure in Turkish rap, he grew up amid reggae, hip‑hop and Anatolian rock before forging a personal blend in which rap and trap intersect with sung melodies and Anatolian inflections. As a teenager he refined his style through freestyles and underground battles, then released the album Müptezhel in 2017, which established him on the scene. His lyrics address the city, social tensions and everyday life, with tracks such as “Sehrimin Tadi” and “Geceler.” His career, at times disrupted by legal troubles in Turkey, has not prevented him from making an impact beyond the country’s borders. Between Ankara and Berlin he has undertaken numerous collaborations with Ufo361, Aitch, Luciano and Gentleman, broadening his audience across Turkish and German stages. On stage, Ezhel blends direct rap and melodic lines, trap bass, reggae echoes and Anatolian influences.
