Info
March 8, 2026, Molson Canadian Centre in Moncton hosts Alan Doyle, the voice and guitar once at the heart of Great Big Sea. Rooted in Newfoundland and Labrador, Doyle has shaped a solo path since 2012 that stays close to Atlantic folk while opening to pop-rock energy and contemporary arrangements. His songs draw on coastal life and everyday stories, moving between ballads and driving tunes, with melodies built for singing along and a Celtic tint that never feels out of place.
Sharing the bill, The East Pointers bring their Prince Edward Island lineage to the stage. Centered on fiddle, banjo and guitar, the trio blends Maritime Celtic dance rhythms with modern folk writing and discreet pop touches. From early festival circuits to their later albums, they alternate instrumental sets and songs, stitching reels and jigs into clean, current structures. Since 2022, the group has reshaped its lineup and continues to carry that hybrid repertoire forward, regularly teaming up with peers from Canada’s roots and indie scenes.
