Info
Garou, born Pierre Garand in Sherbrooke, has carved a path between chanson, pop, soul and blues. First noticed in the 1990s, he broke through as Quasimodo in Luc Plamondon and Richard Cocciante’s musical Notre-Dame de Paris, which carried his voice to a wide audience. His debut solo album Seul (2000) set the tone for a catalogue that includes Reviens, Piece of My Soul and Soul City, moving with ease between French and English repertoires.
On stage, Garou draws on a raspy, expressive timbre and a live setup built for dynamics, revisiting his staples alongside covers he has made his own. The set navigates from intimate ballads to more groove-led moments without losing the thread. Over the years, collaborations with Céline Dion, Michel Sardou and Roch Voisine have added further range to a career that travels well beyond Quebec.
Garou will perform at Théâtre Manuvie in Brossard, Canada, on April 12, 2026.
