Info
On March 10, 2026, Mammoth lands at L’Olympia, 1004 Sainte-Catherine Street East, Montreal. Led by multi‑instrumentalist Wolfgang Van Halen, the project cuts its own path, blending alternative rock drive, heavy‑leaning riffs and a strong melodic sense. After years on bass with Van Halen, Wolfgang stepped out solo, writing, playing and producing the self‑titled debut that put forward Don’t Back Down, Epiphany and Distance, a tribute to his father. The follow‑up, Mammoth II, pushed the formula further with denser arrangements and sharper choruses, confirming a clear songwriting direction.
On stage, Mammoth becomes a full band that gives these studio‑built tracks their full impact. Expect guitar‑forward energy, tight harmonies and a set that swings from crunch to melody without detours. Between an assumed legacy and a straightforward vision that keeps the focus on songs rather than showmanship, Wolfgang drives Mammoth with control and clarity. Montreal gets a precise snapshot of where the project stands now, with room for the newer cuts to sit alongside the early highlights.
