Info
Formed in 1974, The Stranglers were embraced by late-1970s punk while carving out a distinctive sound—cutting bass, dark keyboards and crisp melodies. On 27 November 2026 the band takes over Zinga Zanga Béziers for a set that spans six decades, from their early albums Rattus Norvegicus, No More Heroes and Black and White to now-essential songs: Peaches, No More Heroes, Walk On By, Always The Sun, Strange Little Girl and Golden Brown.
With 24 singles and 20 albums reaching the UK Top 40, The Stranglers have built a solid discography. In 2024, their anniversary year, they toured extensively and played a concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall, followed by the live album Fifty Years In Black, which also entered the charts. Dark Matters, released in 2021, climbed to No. 4 on the UK albums chart—their best placing since Feline.
On stage is the close-knit duo of Jean-Jacques Burnel and Baz Warne, with bass and guitar/vocals as the backbone, joined by Jim Macaulay on drums and Toby Hounsham on keyboards. The programme features classics, a few rarities and the songs that tell the band’s story, performed with controlled energy and an attention to detail that has accompanied them since their beginnings.
