Info
A major figure of instrumental guitar emerging from the ’80s hard rock scene, Patrick Rondat has forged a career in which metal, technical prowess and melodic sensibility advance hand in hand. Six studio albums, live records and best-ofs, tours around the globe, appearances at Monsters of Rock and the G3 at the invitation of Joe Satriani, collaborations with Simon Phillips, Steve Lukather and Jean-Michel Jarre: it has been a long and busy road. On April 18, 2026 at La Maroquinerie in Paris, he comes to promote Escape From Shadows, released in May 2025 on Verycords, surrounded by his long-time comrades Patrice Guers on bass, Dirk Bruinenberg on drums and Manu Martin on keyboards. Situated between Amphibia and An Ephemeral World, this new release leans toward a clear, taut progressive hard rock, and for the first time slips in a sung track, Now We’re Home, carried by Gaëlle Buswel’s blues-rock voice. You can also hear Pascal Vigné’s touch—he recorded some of Patrick’s guitar parts and delivers a standout solo on From Nowhere. On stage, expect finely honed themes and the chemistry of a well‑rehearsed band.
