Culture Club

Culture Club play Cardiff on 8 December 2026 at Cardiff International Arena. Formed in London in the early 80s, the quartet of Boy George (vocals), Roy Hay (guitars, keys), Mikey Craig (bass) and Jon Moss (drums) built a sound at the crossroads of new wave, pop, soul and reggae. On stage, that blend shows up in supple basslines, crisp guitars, synth textures and Boy George’s recognisable phrasing, moving from tender ballads to buoyant offbeat grooves.

The set draws on the run of singles that took them worldwide — Do You Really Want to Hurt Me, Time (Clock of the Heart), Church of the Poison Mind, Karma Chameleon — alongside deep cuts from Kissing to Be Clever and Colour by Numbers through Waking Up with the House on Fire and From Luxury to Heartache. Later material, including tracks from the 2018 album Life, reconnects with their melodic core while updating the palette, with arrangements that bring new colours to familiar hooks. A chance to hear how Culture Club’s hybrid pop still moves between sleek synth lines and reggae inflections, anchored by a rhythm section built for groove.
