Stephan Eicher

Stephan Eicher arrives in Versailles with a batch of brand-new songs, gathered under the title Poussière d’Or. Born in the quiet of a piano stool or a guitar resting on his knees, these pieces took shape through exchanges with close collaborators, until becoming an album meant to be shared on stage. The record features lyrics by his writing partners Philippe Djian and Martin Suter, carried by spare harmonies and arrangements that leave the voice front and center. Eicher cultivates this back-and-forth between withdrawal and the collective: first the sketch, then the meeting, the music deepening as other hands are laid on it. On 20 November 2026, he will present this repertoire at the Versailles Palais des Congrès, in a format designed to listen to the words, let the melodies breathe and give space to the musicians who accompany him. It is an event focused on the writing and the sound, without frills, intended to bring the audience as close as possible to these songs and to the way they come to life on stage.
