Łydka Grubasa

Formed in Olsztyn in 2002, Łydka Grubasa operates within a rock register that mixes comedy rock, alternative rock, pop rock, folk rock and heavy-metal accents, with a marked taste for direct choruses and satirical, often deliberately coarse lyrics. Born initially as a humorous side project by members of Respite, Łydka Grubasa gradually established an independent presence on the Polish rock scene, notably after Bartosz Krusznicki joined as vocalist in 2005. Now organised around a five-piece format, the band’s songwriting focuses on the absurd, everyday life, institutions and social foibles, in a sound that alternates rock energy, folk-leaning passages and festive arrangements. After the demo Stopa nie jest uniwersalna (2005), Łydka Grubasa released the albums Bąż Woa (2010), Perpetuum Debile (2013), O-dur C-ból (2017) and Socjalibacja (2020). Present at festivals such as Pol’and’Rock, the band continued its output with ĘĆ in 2023, an album built around new versions of older tracks featuring guests, followed by the live release Na Żywca in 2024. In 2025 Łydka Grubasa further expanded its concert circuit with a tour in Poland and Central Europe, ahead of the release of the album Bekalog the same year.
