Alex Sampson

Based between Thunder Bay and Atikokan in northwestern Ontario, Canada, Alex Sampson is emerging as a singer-songwriter at the intersection of pop and intimate, voice- and melody-driven writing. Born in 2004, Sampson began drawing attention as a teenager by posting covers and original songs on YouTube, then leveraging TikTok and social media, where he teases snippets of tracks ahead of release. His music sits within contemporary, largely acoustic-leaning pop, built around introspective ballads, romantic or melancholic lyrics, and accessible hooks, with an aesthetic akin to bedroom pop and North American teen pop.
