Cazzu

Born Julieta Emilia Cazzuchelli in 1993 in Fraile Pintado, Jujuy province, Argentina, Cazzu has developed a career at the crossroads of Latin trap, reggaeton and an urban pop tinged with R&B. Based in Buenos Aires’ urban scene, she began to attract attention in the latter half of the 2010s as part of the Argentine trap movement, with songs that alternate between slow reggaeton rhythms, dark atmospheres and more melodic, sung lines. The 2017 mixtape Maldades marked her first recorded step, followed by the album Error 93 in 2019, which consolidated her identity between rap, singing and Caribbean‑inspired electronic sounds. In 2020 Cazzu released Una Niña Inútil, a more conceptual project exploring a more introspective register, and in 2022 Nena Trampa further emphasized the blend of trap, reggaeton and pop touches. Active on stages across Latin America and beyond, she frequently collaborates with artists from the Spanish‑speaking trap and reggaeton sphere—particularly in Argentina—and has built a repertoire where sentimental storytelling, nocturnal imagery and references to contemporary urban culture intersect.
