Adriana Lopez

Born in Colombia and based in Barcelona since 2003, Adriana Lopez has, since the late 1990s, developed a career focused on techno and club culture. She subscribes to a raw, hypnotic and tense aesthetic, driven by firm rhythms, a progressive structure and a marked sense of dynamics in both DJ sets and productions. Her work appears on labels aligned with this approach, including Semantica, Warm Up, PoleGroup, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Modularz, and Grey Report, the imprint she runs herself. Initially active on the Colombian scene, she later expanded internationally with regular appearances at clubs and festivals across Europe, Asia, North America and Oceania. Her name has featured on bills for venues and events such as Berghain, Tresor, fabric, Rex Club, Basement, Awakenings, DGTL and Stone Techno. In her sets Adriana Lopez favors direct, immersive techno without showy effects, with a constant attention to the mix’s flow and the continuity of the sonic narrative.
