Puma Blue

Puma Blue, the stage name of musician, producer and songwriter Jacob Allen, is one of the most distinctive voices to emerge from south London. Now based in Atlanta, he first attracted attention with the EPs Swum Baby (2017) and Blood Loss (2018), before establishing himself with In Praise of Shadows (2021), a debut album of chiaroscuro later extended by the concert film A Late Night Special. His music, sensual and fragile, drifts between dream and melancholy, carried by a weightless voice and arrangements in which silence plays a central role. On stage, surrounded by his close-knit band, he blends improvisation and intensity, at times evoking the spirit of Jeff Buckley. After Holy Waters (2023), a more collective and meditative record on death and rebirth, Puma Blue continues his exploration with antichamber (2025), a surprise, minimalist album that breathes the pure intimacy of his art.
