Luna Li

Based in Toronto, musician and producer Luna Li, born Hannah Kim into a Korean‑Canadian family, creates a sound world that links indie pop, dream pop and psychedelic touches. Trained first in classical violin before turning to guitar and songwriting, she became part of Toronto’s DIY scene, playing local shows and participating in bands before focusing on her solo project. A debut EP of dreamy, guitar‑oriented sounds established her melodic approach and interest in rich arrangements where strings, stacked vocals and light rhythms intersect. Luna Li gradually attracted attention through short online videos of multi‑instrument jams that highlighted the instrumental aspect of her work as much as her taste for contemplative moods. In 2022 the full‑length album “Duality” consolidated that identity by mixing pop ballads, rock‑leaning passages and tracks close to alternative R&B, featuring several guest collaborations from the North American indie sphere. Since then Luna Li has toured extensively across Canada, the United States and Europe, often opening for other independent bands, and continues to refine songwriting centered on layering melodic motifs, a soft lead voice and a visual aesthetic coherent with the dreamy quality of her music.
