Lunar Vacation

Formed in Atlanta, Georgia, Lunar Vacation grew out of the collaboration between singer/bassist Grace Repasky and guitarist Maggie Geeslin, later joined by a rhythm section that anchored the project as a full indie rock band. Emerging from the local DIY scene, Lunar Vacation began to attract attention in 2017 with the EP “Swell”, which already featured melancholic melodies, chiming guitars and a restrained vocal style leaning toward dream pop. The following year’s EP, “Artificial Flavors”, refined this aesthetic by blending indie pop, surf-tinged influences and more pronounced rhythms, while remaining committed to direct, melodic songwriting. Their full-length debut, “Inside Every Fig Is a Dead Wasp” (2021), continues this mix of bittersweet alternative rock and shimmering guitar lines, with particular emphasis on vocal harmonies and contemplative atmospheres. Live, the band translates this dreamy indie-pop sound into a more urgent register, performing mainly in clubs and small North American venues associated with contemporary rock and indie scenes.
