Sun Room

Formed in Southern California in 2020 around Luke Asgian, Sun Room develops a sound at the crossroads of surf rock and garage rock, with edgy guitars, direct melodies and a very upfront relationship to pop. The band takes shape during the quarantine period, first with Ashton Minnich, then Max Pinamonti and drummer Gibby Anderson, later replaced by Thomas Rhodes. Sun Room released their debut EP, Sol Del Sur, in 2020, followed by Somewhere Tropical in 2021, which accompanied the rapid rise of the band on social media and on stage. Their trajectory quickly moved from early tracks to festival appearances such as Austin City Limits in 2021 and Shaky Knees in 2023, as well as North American, European and Latin American tours as the opening act for Inhaler and Louis Tomlinson. In 2023, Sun Room released the EPs Outta Their Minds and At Least I Tried, ahead of Can't Explain in 2024. Their music blends garage energy, a sixties vibe, sunny choruses and often tense tempos, in a short and punchy package that remains rooted in a Californian aesthetic without being limited to retro pastiche.
