Winyah

Based in Nashville after a journey through the Carolinas and Tennessee, Winyah develops an alternative indie sound that blends melodic guitars, introspective writing and accessible refrains, in a vein between indie rock, atmospheric pop and American road songs. The project took shape in the early 2020s and began its discography with the single 'Feel It All Again', the first milestone of an aesthetic oriented toward ordinary emotions, moving memories and a form of luminous melancholy. Winyah evolves this framework with new tracks released in 2023 and 2024, featuring a broader production but still focused on the clarity of melodies and storytelling. The band is part of Nashville's independent scene while maintaining a sensitivity tied to the Southeastern United States, evident in its direct approach to lyrics and in its flexible arrangements, between contained energy and contemplative relief. In 2024, Winyah performed at Bonnaroo festival, a milestone that accompanies the widening of its live activity and reinforces the band's place in an American indie circuit still emerging.
