Michael Cera Palin

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Michael Cera Palin is a trio whose music sits between emo, indie punk and alternative rock, firmly rooted in the Midwest emo aesthetic. The band grew out of Atlanta’s local arts scene, developing introspective songwriting and a song approach where edgy guitars, direct melodies and shifts in intensity coexist without being confined to a single scene code. After an initial period marked by two EP releases between 2015 and 2018, Michael Cera Palin went on a premature hiatus and a planned comeback in 2020 was thwarted. The group later resumed activity with two singles and a more regular live presence from 2022. This trajectory accompanies an evolution of their sound that preserves the emotional tension of their early work while broadening their palette, moving between more melodic passages, punk dynamics and an indie-rock sensibility.
