Wallice

Based in Los Angeles, singer-songwriter Wallice has, since the late 2010s, developed a songwriting style that blends indie pop, bedroom pop and 1990s rock influences. Initially active in the local DIY scene, she released her first tracks independently before signing with the British label Dirty Hit — a significant step in structuring her career. The EP Off the Rails (2021) established a world focused on the uncertainties of entering adulthood, with melodic guitars, a relaxed vocal delivery and lyrics that are both world-weary and direct. With 90s American Superstar (2022), Wallice pushed further her taste for staging fallible characters and narratives drawn from American pop culture. The EP Mr Big Shot (2023) continues this approach with a more assertive indie rock sound while retaining intimate songwriting. On stage, Wallice tours with a full band and alternates between club venues and festivals, notably opening for acts like The 1975, which places her firmly within the Anglo‑Saxon independent pop network.
